Description

Calamus Essential Oil is also known as flag root, sweet flag, sweet grass, sweet root and beewort that has a number of prominent properties and uses. Acorus calamus is the botanical name of Calamus Root Oil which is steam distilled from the fresh roots or the unpeeled dried root. It has a faintly sweet, waxy fragrance with a base note and medium scent.


It was well-known in Biblical times and mentioned in Exodus 30: 22-25 as one of the ingredients of the holy anointing oil.

Blends Well With: Calamus Oil blends well with cinnamon, ylang-ylang, clary sage, marjoram, lavender, geranium, tea tree, patchouli, cedarwood and rosemary for diffusion.

Directions for Use:


. Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.


. Topical use: Apply one to two drops to the desired area.


Cautions: 


If pregnant, nursing or under a doctor’s care, consult a physician. Discontinue use if skin sensitivity occurs. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. Do not use undiluted on skin. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use on broken skin or on abrasions.
