Description

Cypress Essential Oil is also known as Italian or Mediterranean cypress that has many therapeutic properties. Cupressus sempervirens is the botanical name of Cypress Oil which is steam distilled from the leaves of the Cypress tree. It has a clean, fresh fragrance that is herbaceous, spicy with a slightly woody evergreen aroma which refreshes, restores and tones.


Cypress Oil contains monoterpenes which makes it beneficial for oily skin conditions. Because of its grounding, yet stimulating effect it is a popular essential oil to diffuse during times of transition or loss.

Botanical Name: Cupressus sempervirens.


Collection Method: Steam Distillation.

Aromatic Description: It has a fresh, earthy, herbaceous, woody, slightly evergreen aroma.


Strength of Aroma: Medium.

Main Constituents: α-pinene, δ-3-carene.


Blends Well With: Clary sage, cedarwood, lavender, tea tree, juniper berry, frankincense and geranium.

Directions for Use:


. Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.


. Topical use: Apply one to two drops to desired area.


Cautions:


If pregnant, nursing or under a doctor’s care, consult physician. Discontinue use if skin sensitivity occurs. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. Do not use undiluted on skin. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use on broken skin or on abrasions.
