Description

Myrtle Oil is one of the best essential oils for children's ailments as well as effective for respiratory problems and skincare. Myrtus Communis is the botanical name of Myrtle Essential Oil which is extracted from the fresh leaves and twigs of the plant through Steam Distillation method. It has a clear, fresh, medicinal, herbaceous, earthy, and sweet scent that is pleasing when diffused.

It has properties that can help beautify as well as enhance the appearance of healthy-looking skin. It also has strong antibacterial and anti-fungal properties which makes it a brilliant addition to any all-natural household cleaner. Myrtle Oil has an elevating fragrance.

Botanical Name: Myrtus Communis.

Collection Method: Steam Distillation.

Plant Part: Leaves and Twigs.

Aromatic Description: It has a fresh, clear, herbaceous aroma that is mildly camphoraceous, similar to eucalyptus.

Strength of Aroma: Medium.

Family: Myrtaceae.

Consistency: Thin.

Color: Pale Yellow.

Blends Well With: Myrtle Oil blends well with most oils, but particularly well with basil, thyme, bergamot, eucalyptus, clary sage, spearmint, clove bud, tea tree, lavender, peppermint and rosemary for diffusion.

Directions for Use:

  •  Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.
  •  Topical use: Apply one to two drops to the desired area.

Cautions: 
If pregnant, nursing or under a doctor’s care, consult a physician. Discontinue use if skin sensitivity occurs. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. Do not use undiluted on skin. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use on broken skin or on abrasions.
