Description

Nirgundi is also known as the five-leaved chaste tree which is used popularly in various healing sciences to treat a number of ailments. Vitex negundo is the botanical name of Nirgundi Essential Oil which is extracted from the flowers and leaves through the steam distillation process. The ancient Romans named it the five-leaved chaste tree because it worked to reduce sexual urges and hence got linked to chastity and loyalty.
