Amyris Oil is also sometimes called West Indian Sandalwood or Indies Sandalwood which is highly recommended in aromatherapy because of its uplifting and relaxation qualities. Amyris balsamifera is the botanical name of Amyris Oil which is steam distilled from the wood of a tree that can take up to 30 years to produce oil native to Haiti and other tropical climates. It has a warm, soft, woody and earthy aroma that lifts away stress and anxiety.


Amyris Essential Oil is one of the oldest materials at least 4,000 years which is used for aromatic and perfumery uses. It can be used as a cheaper alternative to true Sandalwood however, its properties are different and it is not botanically related to genuine Sandalwood oil.

Collection Method: Steam Distillation.

Aromatic Description: It has a dry, woody, herbaceous and peppery balsamic aroma.

Blends Well With: Amyris Oil blends well with lavandin, citronella, cedarwood, jasmine, frankincense, cypress, lemon, rose absolute, ylang ylang and mandarin for diffusion.

Directions for Use:


. Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.


. Topical use: Apply one to two drops to the desired area.


Cautions: 


If pregnant, nursing or under a doctor’s care, consult a physician. Discontinue use if skin sensitivity occurs. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas. Do not use undiluted on skin. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use on broken skin or on abrasions.
